Everything you need to know about renting a car with us.

How can I make a reservation?

You can easily book a car 24/7 through our website at www.egecarrental.com, send an email to [email protected], or call our customer support line. You are also welcome to visit our office to make a booking in person.

Are there specific age and license requirements?

To rent a vehicle, drivers must be at least 24 years old and hold a valid B-class driver's license for a minimum of 2 years.

What is the minimum rental duration?

The minimum rental period is 1 day for Fethiye and Dalaman locations. For Dalyan, the minimum is 3 days, and for Marmaris, it is 5 days.

Can I book a vehicle for someone else?

Yes, you may make a booking and complete the payment on behalf of another person. However, at the time of pickup, the designated driver must present their own valid driver's license and a credit card registered in their name.

Is a credit card required for rentals?

Yes, for security and deposit requirements, a valid credit card issued in the primary driver's name is mandatory for all rentals to block the deposit amount.

When is the security deposit blockage released?

The pre-authorization blockage on your credit card is released after the vehicle is returned, following a check for tolls (HGS), fuel shortages, extra mileage, or new damages.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay the rental fee online securely via credit card (benefiting from discounts), send a bank transfer (EFT), or choose to pay at our office upon vehicle pickup.

What is your reservation cancellation policy?

Cancellations made on the same day as the booking are fully refundable. If cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time, a fee equivalent to 2 days' rental will be charged. If the total reservation is less than 2 days, no refund is available.

Can I make changes to my existing booking?

Yes, modifications are possible prior to vehicle pickup. We request that you inform us at least 5 days in advance. Changes are subject to fleet availability and current pricing adjustments.

Must the vehicle be returned with a full tank of fuel?

Vehicles are typically supplied with a ¼ (quarter) tank of fuel. We simply ask that you return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as received.

Can I take the car out of Turkey or outside the allowed region?

No, cross-border travel is prohibited. Regional travel within Turkey is generally permitted, but please check your specific rental agreement for any mileage limits or geographical restrictions.

What happens with traffic tickets/fines?

Renters are fully responsible for all traffic fines, parking tickets, and highway toll fees incurred during the rental period. Any unpaid fines will be charged to the renter, plus administrative fees.

Can I rent child seats, GPS devices, or other extra equipment?

Yes, child seats, GPS navigation devices, and additional equipment can be rented upon request, subject to availability and extra charges. Please reserve accessories when booking.

Can I pick up the car in one location and drop it off in another (one-way rental)?

Yes, one-way rentals within Turkey are possible between many locations, subject to availability and a one-way fee. Availability and charges vary, please inquire when booking.

What is included in the standard insurance coverage? Can I purchase extra insurance?

Standard insurance typically includes Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with an excess amount, Third Party Liability, and Theft Protection. Additional coverage options may be available to reduce or eliminate excess liability, please check the insurance terms and options when booking.

Are there daily or total mileage restrictions?

Mileage limits vary depending on the specific vehicle category, rental duration, and agreement terms. Daily or total mileage limits may apply, with extra charges for exceeding the limit. Please check your agreement details.

Should I check the vehicle upon pick-up? What happens if there are pre-existing damages?

Yes, you should carefully inspect the vehicle with our representative upon pick-up and report any pre-existing scratches, dents, or issues. These will be noted in the rental agreement to avoid disputes later.

Can I request a specific fuel type (petrol vs. diesel)?

While we cannot guarantee a specific fuel type for all bookings, you can request a petrol or diesel vehicle, and we will do our best to accommodate your preference based on fleet availability.

Does the car need to be returned clean? Are there cleaning fees?

While normal use cleaning is included, vehicles returned excessively dirty (internal or external) requiring special cleaning beyond normal wear will incur cleaning fees. Please return the car in a reasonable condition.

Are pets allowed in the rental car? Is smoking permitted?

Pets are generally permitted if transported in a suitable carrier. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all our vehicles. Excessive pet hair or odors requiring special cleaning will incur cleaning fees.

What is the procedure in case of an accident?

Do not move the vehicle. Immediately report the accident to Ege Car Rental at +90 537 742 5737 and call 112 for the Traffic Police or Gendarmerie to obtain an official traffic accident report and alcohol test result.

What should I do if the vehicle breaks down?

All our rental vehicles are covered by 24/7 roadside assistance. In the event of a technical issue, please contact our emergency support line immediately.

What happens if I lose the car key?

A replacement key will be provided to you. Please be aware that the cost of the new key and the delivery service will be charged to the renter.

Is it permitted for others to drive the vehicle?

Yes, provided they hold a valid license, additional drivers can be officially added to the rental agreement. Driving by unauthorized individuals voids all insurance coverage.

Can I upgrade the vehicle I reserved?

Yes, vehicle upgrades are possible based on current fleet availability. If your reserved category is not available at pickup, we will automatically provide a free upgrade to the next category.

Do you offer out of hours pickup or return?

Yes, we can arrange vehicle pickup or return outside of our standard office hours, subject to prior notice, availability, and an out of hours fee. Please arrange this when booking.

Is there a maximum car rental period?

Generally, there is no maximum rental period. For very long rentals, please contact us for special rates and terms. Periodic inspections or vehicle swaps may be required.

What happens if I return the car with less fuel than received?

If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than the initial level, you will be charged for the missing fuel at a rate higher than pump prices, plus a refueling service charge.

Are there any specific insurance exclusions or restrictions?

Yes, insurance typically does not cover damages caused by driving under the influence, driving on unpaved roads, traffic violations, negligent use, lost keys, damaged upholstery, wrong fuel type, etc. Please review the detailed terms.

Can I return the rental car early? Will I get a refund for unused days?

Yes, you can return the car early. However, refunds for unused days generally depend on the agreement and booking terms. Please check the refund policy in your specific contract.
